Kade's HARD ROCK Birthday

Kade's birthday party went great. Our theme...HARD ROCK cafe baby....why...because my baby loves music. We made some air guitars, did some limbo (although the boys preferred chin ups from the limbo stick), and ate an awesome cake....oh wait the DOG ate the cake. Yes, that's right...our puppy Gizmo took the first bite of Kade's cake the night before Kade's party. Mommy pretty much had an anxiety attack, but her husband calmed her down, and told her "its just cake"....so we salvaged it, and the kids did not mind a bit!

Lesson well-learned, HMMMMM don't get a puppy (he he). Thanks friends for a fun time!

Lovin it in Lincoln

Our family headed to Lincoln, Nebraska for a few days during Spring Break! It was nice to get out of town. Although it took us a lot longer than expecetd to get to our destination(only around 11 potty stops)...we did finally make it in one piece. We were able to get to the Omaha Zoo, the Lincoln Children's musuem, and the University of Nebraska's Natural History Museum.

I do not like them....I do not like Green eggs and Ham

Last night Karli's school celebrated Dr. Suess's birthday with a reading night! We celebrated by eating yummy snacks (green eggs andham, and Cat in the Hat cupcakes), we also drew cat pictures, colored bookmarks, and read Dr. Suess of course. What FUN!!

My favorite shot

My parents came up this weekend..and I could not resist this cute shot of my dad and Kade!

8 points...not bad...not bad at all!

Kiersten had a basketball game on Saturday night, and her Grandparent's came to watch. The pressure was mounting and she was nervous, but ended up with 8 points and a whole lot of confidence. WAY to go...Sissy!

watching her team!!

Birthday Celebrations

I celebrated my birthday this past Friday, and what a great weekend we had. I woke up to massage coupons from my 8 year old, stating that Kiersten's salon would be open Friday evening after school.
Scott and I then were able to sneak away for a birthday dinner and a fundraiser for the "Boys and Girls Club" of Manhattan.

"CHEERS" to Jake...the other birthday boy!

Lake Celebration!

Last weekend my running crew and I spent the night at my lake house to celebrate our birthdays and our long runs. We have recently started running 18+ miles to prepare us for our marathon next month...so we thought we needed a night off!
