Riley County Basketball Tournament!

Kiersten has been playing traveling basketball this year, and WOW, how exciting it has been. This amazing 3rd grade team had had to battle 4th and 5th grade teams the entire season. The mini CATS are becoming A FORCE to be RECKONED with.....

KSU gave it their best shot Sat. night and almost defeated #2 ranked KU...Wow what an amazing game...all I have to say is "we didn't lose the game...we just ran out of time"! Way to go Frank Martin and team!

Yes my son, was groping Minnie Mouse (my brother just brought this to my attention), poor Minnie. My brother asked me if he did this on purpose.....I did not know how to reply. What do you think?

Walt Disney World Marathon 2010

The Disney World marathon was an amazing event. Although it was my SLOWEST race ever...it was my FUNNEST race ever. The morning of the race I was up at 1:30 a.m. (yes, you heard that right), out the door by 3:30 a.m., and at the race start by 4:30 a.m. My running group decided to run this race "for the fun of it", and have fun along the way. We started off pretty slow, due to the 40,000 participants, then stopped for every Disney character along the way (see slideshow). Keeping 5 girls together in a a huge crowd, was not as easy as it seemed. There was several parts of the course that were run on sidewalks, and caused a ton of bottlenecking! The race went something like this...run a mile or two.....stop for 5 minutes...take pictures...use the potty...run a mile or so...take pictures...use the potty. The race set a Florida record for being the coldest marathon start EVER (it was 16 degrees windchill)..I do not know about you, but the whole reason I went to Florida was to get warm....THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! But all in all the race was FUN, all marathoner's need to do a race this way! Now on to Chicago....for marathon #5!

We ventured over the Grandma's house for some adventure sledding on Wednesday. Boy does she have a GREAT sledding hill-the kids loved every minute of it! Gotta love snow days...........

My Running Crew..Christmas Dinner

It has become an annual tradition to host my running crew over for a christmas dinner each year! We decided we have been training hard, now it is time to play hard. We do a white elephant gift exchange, and the gifts every year get more colorful as our stories on the "trail", get more colorful.I would love to show you all the gifts...but I do have to remember this is a "family" blog, so I will refrain.
