Kaden's last soccer game

Kade ended his soccer season this year-I think this comes more of a relief to his mother, who definitely thought her son provided much of the "entertainment" this year. Coach James was ever so patient with this ever so "motley" soccer team called the "Blitz". Not sure yet if soccer is his thing...Ummmm let me rephrase.....definitely too early to tell, and I am not holding my breath.

Kiersten's 3rd Grade wax Museum

This week the third graders presented a biography on a historical character. Kiersten choose Rosa Parks. Their job was to come dressed like their character, prepare a historical timeline, and finally present their biography's in the form of a wax museum. All the kids gathered in the library and if their "button" was pushed, they would present their findings to you. It was super clever and super cute. All the kiddos did an excellent job and worked extremely hard.

Karli's short locks!

Karli said goodbye to her long locks this week! Too cute!

FIeld Day at school

The girls both had field day at school this week. This was the first and only year they both were together (1st thru 3rd graders)-this made it so nice for Mom! The weather was not so cooperative-but the kids did not seem to mind. The kids had a ball, and I think were just happy to not be at school!

Dance Recital 2010

The girls had a busy week with lots and lots of practices leading up to their big dance recital Sunday afternoon. Kiersten performed a ballet and jazz routine, and Karil performed a ballet routine. Both girls did a great job up on stage, and most importantly I think had a lot of fun!

A RUN to Remember.......

Today I was lucky enough to participate in a historical event...the 10th annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon (I only ran the half). April 19, marked the 15th anniversary of this tragic event where 168 innocent women, men, and children lost their lives for NO REASON!! This run signifies life, and it is an honor to be a part of it!

A trip down the yellow brick road......

Kade and I had a couple hours to ourselves yesterday while the girls had a soccer game and a birthday party to attend! So, we decided to run over to Wamego, KS to visit the OZ museum. This was an "over the rainbow" moment for Kade, as he has seemingly become obsessed with the WIZARD OF OZ. And, for those of you that have seen my son with his Ruby Red shoes on around town-my apologizes!!!!!

Kade playing soccer OR is he???

Kade is trying to learn the game of soccer and had his 2nd game this week. Not quite sure if he has a knack for this sport. Frankly, I just want him to burn some energy off! Regardless .....the kiddo scored 2 goals. One for his team, and one for the other team-I LOVE THIS age!

Happy Easter from the Gillam Family

"If Easter says anything to us today, it says this: You can put truth in a grave, but it won't stay there. You can nail it to a cross, wrap it in winding sheets and shut it up in a tomb, but it will rise!" Clarence W. Hall

Kaden's 4th Birthday!!!!

We celebrated kade's birthday on Wednesday as a family, and in typical Kade style he requested a "guitar" cake!

Kade turns 4!!!!

Kade turned 4 years old on March 24th! WOW did time fly. We brought baseball cupcakes to preschool on Wednesday. Kade definitely let everyone know that he was "NOT" 3 anymore, but he was "4", and all grown up! I Love this little Boy!!!

Kade starts SOCCER!!

My little man started soccer this past week! I am not sure who is going to work harder...Kade or his coach James. At least he can burn off some serious energy during this sport...and that definitely works for Mom (insert smile)!!!

Our FAVORITE cousins...Lily and Jack

We were able to drive to Southwest Colorado during our Spring Break trip to visit our favorite (and only) cousins Lily and Jack. The kids had a blast together, visiting brand new baby goats, hot tubbing, and playing dress up. Scott and I loved the Pierson's hospitality...thanks Shelly and Gary for a wonderful time...wish we lived closer to you!
