The Gift of Giving

Thanks to my brother and his wife, we are trying to concentrate on Gifts of Service to others this Holiday season. So often, we focus on ourselves over the Holidays, we tend to forgot the true reason for the Holiday season. This year we worked hard filling boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan's Purse International is the brains behind this operation, and they distribute nearly 8million shoe boxes per year-to children in 3rd world countries who do not receive "Christmas gifts". Most of the items in these boxes are school supplies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, small balls, cars, and hard candy. Our church will be tracking a couple of these boxes this year, so we can see just how far the boxes travel. Our hope is to to bring God's love to these children through a tangible way.

FuN American Girl style!

Karli and I snuck away to K.C this weekend. I ran a race on Sunday morning and then we headed to the new American Girl store in K.C. I realized upon arriving that Karli has NEVER been to American Girl. We had a blast dreaming of all the possibilities and picking out a NEW FAVORITE doll (she is asking Santa for)

Happy 8th Birthday to my Dear Karli Grace!
We celebrated Karli's 8th Birthday on Friday night "DISCO" style. Nine girls partied the night away! We made tie-dyed shirts, had a pizza bar, played games, sang karaoke, and had yummy cake. I think the girls finally fell asleep around 1:30 am. YIKES! Sorry Moms. We had a blast! HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL!!!!!

Aggieville Trick or Treat Parade

I think this was our 9th year at the Aggieville Homecoming Parade. The kids love trick or treating at the local businesses, and we love watching the college kids in the homecoming parade. A great way to kickoff the Halloween weekened. BTW...great job Kappa on taking first place on the homecoming float this year!!!!!
