Happy 8th Birthday Kiersten
Today is my sweet girl's 8th birthday. But our birthday fun started yesterday with Bat cupcakes to school.
Seriously...many of you may have seen this fun cupcake idea in a magazine. Well, I tried to attempt it....and yeah, I will never do it again. Enough Said@!
and a few homemade doughnuts to start my daughter's morning....I didn't say I actually ate them. But I do have to admit, this was my 1st attempt at deep fryin and will be my absolutely last. I see no reason to deep fry anything..it is so nutrition-less and makes your house stink, but hopefully a fun memory!

Uncle Stu has passed.......
Dear Friends,
Our Uncle Stu went home to be with his Lord and Savior thisWednesday afternoon. His homegoing was peaceful and he was surrounded by his loving family. Funeral arrangements will be finalized Thursday. Blessings to each of you for your loving and prayerful support for Stu, Barb and Brooke.

Please pray!
As many of you know my Uncle Stu has Multiple Myeloma (bone cancer). He has lived with this disease since 1999. Many of you met Stu at Relay for Life last August where he walked with many of you. Well the time has come to ask for your utmost prayers as he battles for his life.
Stu was scheduled for a bone marrow transplant in September, and before he could undergo this invasive procedure her underwent chemotherapy. While in the hospital he fell and bruised his brain. Because Stu was undergoing CHEMO his white counts, and platelet counts were down (this means he cannot fight infections of any kind!) He unfortunately has not recovered from the brain trauma. The doctors are leaving it in our hands...which means prayer. I believe in the power of prayer so much, and if I did not I would not be soliciting you to pray. So, please I ask you to keep Stu Lindell in your prayers this week as he struggles to fight for his life.
He is currently 57 years old, and has 1 daughter Brooke, who is a freshman at K-State. His wife Barb is amazing and is also battling breast cancer herself.
Please specifically pray for:
Stu as they move him to hospice care in K.C. this week
Barb's comfort with the hospice move and pray that she will have a sense of peace
Brooke as she takes all this in
Stu's extended family
FYI...Picture to the right..is
Brooke, Barb and Stu
( what is so funny is before
Stu got so sick, he was pretty
mad that the only pic we had
of him was in the "gay" sweater)
So I have to love this picture.
He totally hates it! Love you
Uncie Stu!!!

Snake Bite!!!!
Thanks to our neighbor Michelle, we are now the proud owners of a Great Plains Rat Snake (thanks Michelle :-)) Michelle came over last night and said we had a nice little creature climbing up our front porch-YIKES! SO the kids were very excited and after some computer research we realized it was not poisonous. So, this led Scott to think he could play with the thing...WHAT!!! Well, guess what...he got bit...go figure.
So for those of you wondering.... our pet count has continued to increase since this summer:
3 Gerbils
1 Dog
1 Fish
1 Rat Snake
And yes....I am loosing my mind!!!! Anyone need a new pet!

Good Times in CHI town
Scott & I were able to escape this past weekend and fly up to Chicago to see Steph's brother. We had a blast while helping him decorate his new condo.
A little decor a little GRIP, and a new girl.
But, most of all it was awesome to see Nate's work in ministry in downtown Chicago (Cabrini Green), not only has he moved in "their" hood but he has found a way to be closer to "his" kids and be a coach to these "fatherless" boys and girls. What an impact he has made in so many lives. I was so excited to see God's work in Nate's life. Keep in up Man! ( Com' On now!)

My brother Nate and his new "friend" Amy (BTW Amy works for Oprah (HARPO productions), how cool is that!
The condo, with some new flair

O.K. Judy, I know your eyes are shut..I asked your husband to take another pic, but NO he thought we were good! Sorry sweetie

Please pray....
Please look at the website below and pray for this dear family. I do not know her personally, but a friend of mine from Kansas City is one of her best friends. Once you read the blog and get to know this family, I am sure your heart will be touched!

KSU vs. Montana 69-10...need I say more
It was military appreciation day at the KSU game Saturday, so we decided to bring all 3 kids. They all had a lot of fun, and the girls are ready for the next game. (Brownie Bear from Karli's Kindergarten class, had to attend the game, also)
Kiersten waiting for those "CATS"
Karli ran into her study buddy Lauren while we were tailgating, and thought that was pretty neat to hang with a 4th grader!
A little Kade time!
