KSU beats OSU

Today our family attended the KSU Women's Basketball game against OSU! What a close game it was! Of course the Wildcats ended with a VICTORY by 8 points, and we were thrilled. The girls cheered for the CATS at halftime, and then were able to get a few autographs by "Willie" the Wildcat himself!

40th Birthday Parties ANYONE?????

Scott and I attended 3-40th Birthday Bash's last night, and what fun it was! Our neighbor Shon, and friends Scott and Carrie all turned the BIG 4-0 this year, so what a GREAT way to celebrate and combine the FUN!

Valentine Party's Complete!

Although I absolutely LOVE planning the Kindergarten room parties. This week was exhausting, as all my kids got the flu bug, so trying to work these parties in-between sickness was no picnic. But all in all it was refreshing to witness those sweet 5 and 6 year olds during their Valentine party. I love this age!

Valentine's week is upon us

Valentine's week is upon us, and the Gillam kids (and mom) have been busy creating that "perfect" valentine. The girls turned their sweetheart boxes into ipod's for their classmate's, and Kaden made little shovels that said "I dig you". We also made LOTS of treats for their classroom parties this week! Mom is exhausted!

A Dress the Heart Fundraiser

Scott & I attended the "A Dress the Heart" fundraiser for the Mercy Regional Medical Center heart foundation last night. A fun time was had by all!

Our family takes an annual Great Wolf lodge trip during the Winter. We had a great time riding the water-slides, floating down the lazy river, and playing arcade games

This past weekend we ran to Kansas City and hooked up with our good friends Cheri and Mark.  We all needed a night off and had fun catching up!

Girl Scout Sock Hop

Last night we ventured out for the annual Girl Scout Sock hop! The girls had a blast dancing the night away, eating cotton candy, and participating in chewing gum contests!

Its all about the PINK baby!

Ever since Stephanie Vest was diagnosed with an incurable cancer this past August, I have been following her faithful blog postings by her husband. She was an inspiration to hundreds, and continued to pull at my heartstrings since her passing this past December. She was a sassy girl, who was full of life, a dedicated mother of 3, and she loved her PINK laundry room! So I decided to give her tribute, and paint my laundry room hot pink.

I truly loved every transformation moment, and now that it is near completion...WOW, can I just tell you I LOVE spending time in there...every load of laundry is seriously a reminder of my precious family, and how lucky I am to be a MOMMY of 3 wonderful kiddos and here on this precious Earth (for a short time), to enjoy them. What an awesome gift!

Playdates are FUN!

Kiersten and Karli had playdates after school today, and guess what!!!! Out came the gerbils (yes those are the gerbils we have had since May from Kiersten's 1st grade teacher...we are supposedly babysitting, but I think it has turned into a "psuedo" adoption), anyway...the girls thought it would be fun to give the gerbils baths, let them play in the barbie van, and play under the covers. Needless to say, I found gerbil "poop" pellets throughout their rooms, and yes Imade them clean every bit of it up!

Fire Tourches our Apartment Buildings last night!

A fire started in one of our top floor apartment buildings last night. Luckily no tenants were hurt, but MANY were distraught and without their belongings. The red cross and fire department were up(and Scott too!) all night helping extinguish this brutal fire. You can read about the excitement in our local paper tonight.
A lesson to be learned.....no one had renters insurance! SO please all you "renters" get SMART and get some insurance!

70's-80's Benefit for Meadowlark Hills

Scott and I attended a benefit last night for Meadowlark Hills. The them was 70's and 80's and WOW were the outfits and music crazy! This seriously brought me back to Junior High!

My Baby Boy had Surgery today!!!!

Kade had surgery this morning to remove an inclusive cyst just under his arm pit. His mother was a basket case (of course), but we had a GREAT team...our surgeon went to our church, I got to pick my favorite anesthetist, and the staff and nurses were awesome.
So with that said we arrived at the surgical center at 6:30am this morning, and after a few tears (shed only by Mom), Kade was done in 15 minutes. He was a little out of it right after waking up, but within 30 minutes, he was eating, drinking, and climbing right out of his hospital gown. He needed zero meds, and no Tylenol throughout the day. I have to admit my kid is a STUD. He sailed right through this...my only hope is........there is no more to come :-)!

Happy 30th JOSH!

My baby brother Josh turned 30th this weekend. So I took a 36 hour trip to Chicago and surprised him. My other brother Nate and I had a party for him. It was a ton of fun and oh so nice to have brother time without the kiddos!

Scott & I were able to have a night out on the town last night thanks to his Mom and Dad watching the kids. We got together with some friends and had a great dinner and a GREAT time! Happy 2009 everyone!
